A quiet rule change could signal “the end of independent financial regulators” just as the SEC prepares to deregulate crypto, mega-IPOs, and corporate governance.

Isn’t there an option to block bot accounts? Does anyone know how to make a catch-all so I don’t have to keep whacking these moles??

Right. However I don’t think the settings carry over to lemmy. I think I tired this before.

Behold! That screenshot is of Lemmy running in Safari on iOS from a Lemmy server. The only way to get any more Lemmy is to host your own instance.

ETA: whatever client you are using calls the webapi which only returns results after applying the native Lemmy settings. Turn off NSFW there and the client never receives such posts to process and filter. Ergo, the web client settings have primacy here — they will apply regardless of whatever client you are calling “Lemmy.”

For some reason, that setting is rarely surfaced in clients. For example, I can’t set it in Voyager, I have to go to the native web app.
