Some ideologies are not really compatible with being a decent person.
Fiscal conservatism can at least be somewhat justified (even if I fundamentally disagree with it), but I would argue that much of social conservatism boils down to taking away people’s basic human rights and personal liberty.
Conservative or liberal, R or D, just be a decent person. Is that so hard?
