NYC meeting: President Donald Trump thanked Mayor Zohran Mamdani for hosting him at Gracie Mansion in New York today and said he hoped he would be a “great” mayor. Trump is in town to attend the United Nations General Assembly, where he will address world leaders tomorrow.
What they discussed: Mamdani said the two discussed the safety of immigrants and building a better New York. Trump said he reminisced about past visits to Gracie Mansion and he also left the door open to supporting a massive housing development plan backed by the mayor.
Are we going to see Trump lavish praise on an attractive strong man in his view, and then see all the conservative outlets that despise Mamdani suddenly try to retcon the events into something bad?
He also praises Kim Jong Un, who is also a “communist” and a dictator and hates America. So this shouldn’t be any different.
Well, except for the part about Mamdani being a communist and hating America, neither of which is true.
That’s why I was using quotes and sarcasm.
🤣 do people really think North Korea is communist?
Hence the quotes.
no, Trump is waiting for new instructions on what he’s supposed to say
