China doesn’t invent excuses to go to war, so while we were spending trillions for the last 25 years to lose every war we fight, China was spending on energy and high speed rail infrastructure, delivering their citizens from poverty, building up their manufacturing, and more, all while providing health care and education for their people. They did ALL of that, and more, with half of what we spent on those stupid wars.
