The Sunbird app brought iMessage to Android a few years ago, but it was pulled in 2023 due to security issues. Now, it's back.

    Personally, I have Signal, Matrix, IRC, and even XMPP ready to go (don’t have an account for that last one, but I do have a client installed in case it is ever needed). If somebody wanted my contact, usually email is enough, but if that is not accepted, I cycle through the above.
