You need to include AIPAC adjacent, they are just one of many PACs backing Israel. And there’s a handful doing the work of AIPAC for free

Haha, jokes on you my state democratic party decided it knows best and didn’t bother to have a primary for any of my elected offices. Counting 2026, I haven’t had a primary to vote in for my last House election, my last US Senate election, my last Governor election, my last presidential election, my last school board election, or my last city council election. I feel soo represented

Which state? I’ve only ever heard of two states leaving the presidential race off it and then only in 2024.

Every state had no democratic primary for president in 2024. Virginia had no Democratic primary for governor in 2025. Also had no democratic primary for senate in 2026. I’m sure you could narrow it down from there with a bit of research, but that’s as close as I feel comfortable coming to doxxing myself

Hah! Yes! Virginia is no primary, but has important warm water port! No one can deny!

Yeah, call me a Russian bot for complaining that the Democratic party is not as democratic as I wish it was. You’re helping.

Well that’s just plain disinformation bullshit.

              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_Democratic_Party_presidential_primaries

Only Florida and Delaware left the presidential race of their Democratic primary ballots. There were like 7 candidates for the presidential race on the ballot in Texas.

edit: adding links to the two cited Virginia primaries

Virginia 2026 Democratic primary Senate race

              https://ballotpedia.org/United_States_Senate_election_in_Virginia,_2026_(August_4_Democratic_primary)

Virginia 2025 Democratic primary gubernatorial race only had one candidate running unopposed

              https://ballotpedia.org/Virginia_gubernatorial_election,_2025_(June_17_Republican_primary)

Granted I would prefer to still have the vote so people can cast an empty or write-in ballot. But there wasn’t a blatantly nefarious plot to deprive the voters of a choice between declared candidates.

I’m sorry, let me correct my statement then. At no point did I have a vote in the selection of any of those democratic candidates, my rubber stamp vote for Biden did not select Kamala. There was no alternative for Spanberger, and my city just straight up cancelled their Dem primaries this year. There is a uncomfortably wide and long-running pattern of the field clearing for the party candidate before the question is put to the voters. But you got me on a technicality, I’m spouting misinformation

Well I did agree with you that they still should have the single candidate race on the ballot so you could have voiced an opinion. Other people could have run, but didn’t, and that’s on them for having chosen not to. As a far as Harris goes, they did open up the field for people to declare a candidacy to be voted for by the delegates to the convention, and several people did, and the pledged delegates did get their vote. It was a year of extraordinary and unprecedented circumstances. A measly 4% of the primary vote going to Uncommitted was enough to Garner massive media coverage, impacting public opinion, and pushing the donors to pressure the sitting president who was already the presumptive nominee to drop out. You can’t tell me that wasn’t a demonstration of the will of the people, starting with the primaries.

AOC and the rest of the squad got in thru their respective primaries, without party support. So did Mamdani. And Stayed and several others this year.

And I absolutely agree you about your city-wide primary being cancelled. Maybe you could consider joining the party to push for change.

Great roll call nomination, with only one candidate. Yet she didn’t get 100% of the votes - Some would rather abstain
