Profiles are under “System” section in settings, biometrics are optional

you may like to know about LocalSend, it’s a file transfer software that uses your network (but not your internet) so it’s very fast, it has encryption, a web version, and it’s cross platform

it’s quite clever but its UI is not that comfortable to use, non tech-savvy people will struggle a lot with it

• the corporate side of Red Hat is far less evident on Fedora than Canonical’s on Ubuntu

• vanilla UX

• Atomic editions

• fast yet stable updates

• more lightweight ISO

it also has disadvantages, specially for nontechnical folks

• Free Software Policy (NVIDIA drivers and some codecs not pre-installed)
• non LTS version available (Atomic desktops are easier to manage if keeping un-updated for very long periods)
• it uses RPM packages which are good, but there might be some software only offering DEBs (containers and extraction tools can help with that)

that’s awesome

the thing with systemd “taking over”anything also has to do with it offering options that actually lessens efforts

nice to see another option apart from systemd-boot

this is the kind of things the uBlue project would be interested in looking forward to

no systemD?!? gonna check it out
