The one actual attempt was real enough for the two guys in the stands behind Trump that took bullets. One died, the other did survive. The second “attempt” was some nut that managed to sneak onto the Mar-a-Lago golf course before getting caught. Trump was certainly happy to play up the part of the victim, big wad of gauze over the nick on his ear, “Oh, look at how bad people treat me!”

Yup, Klipper. I’m using it to run my current Ender printer off a raspberry pi. You can create your own customized config files and compile your own firmware, if you really want to dig in and get into the gritty stuff. I don’t for see any of it going the Bamboo route, so it’s a positive thing for me that the U1 has been set up with Klipper and Orca.

Looks like the U1 runs under a modified version of Orca Slicer, probably to accommodate the 4-head print setup. Nothing is locked in right now, and nothing says you HAVE to upgrade the software or firmware. So long as the printer runs well and you’re fine with not getting newer features, leave it as is. I’m planning to order a U1 myself by the end of the year, it looks amazing.

I’m thinking this will be my next printer. Core XY with the 4 print head quick changer looks amazing. I’ve been using my Ender 3 S1 Pro for a few years, which works but has taken a lot of fiddling to get to work well.

Military can hire an outside firm to examine the redesign issues, hand them tens of millions of dollars to do it. After a couple years just drop the issue once the orange man-child is out of office. Generals can tell him it’s being worked on while changing nothing, and some senator’s favorite contractor (probably General Dynamics) gets a cash windfall for doing jack shit.
